McALLEN, Texas (ValleyCentral) — A man was taken into custody for crashing into a McAllen Independent School District school bus Tuesday afternoon, according to the McAllen Police Department.
At approximately 4:38 p.m. on Sept 16, authorities responded to the 2600 block of Galveston Avenue, according to a news release from McAllen PD.

At the scene, authorities state the crash involved a Chevrolet Silverado pickup and a McAllen ISD school bus. The bus was occupied by the driver and 17 passengers ranging in age from 10 to 17 years old.
A preliminary investigation revealed that the driver of the Chevrolet Silverado pickup rear-ended the MISD school bus, the release stated.
The driver of the Chevrolet Silverado, identified as 37-year-old Jose Cesar Galvan from Alamo, was arrested and charged with driving while license invalid.
This is an ongoing investigation.
