MISSION, Texas (ValleyCentral) — A probable cause affidavit, obtained by ValleyCentral, revealed the details of how a Mission man allegedly died at the hands of a fellow gang member.

Last week, Caleb Jeremiah Ramos, 29, was charged with first-degree murder in connection to the death of 31-year-old Marco Macias. At 9:06 p.m. Wednesday, officers responded to the 200 block of El Ranchito Road, where they found Macias unconscious. Shortly after help arrived, Macias was pronounced dead.

Documents obtained by ValleyCentral indicate that Ramos is a member of the Vallucos gang and was upset at Macias, who was a member of the same gang, before the killing. Earlier that day, Ramos was seen slashing the tires of a vehicle on Macias' property "because Marcos would not come out of his apartment."

Man accused of fatally running over friend issued $2M bond

Macias' neighbor stated that Macias was not home when Ramos was looking for him. Later in the day when he arrived to his property, Ramos asked his neighbor to give him a ride to pick up some tires to replace the ones that had been slashed. When Macias and his neighbor arrived at the Ranchito Road location, Macias was arguing with another man who lived there. Macias ran away from the man and was met on the road by a gold Cadillac Escalade that was being driven by Ramos.

Macias began running away from the vehicle, but Ramos pinned his fellow gang member against the driveway gate of a home. Macias' neighbor saw the attempt from Ramos to attack Macias and used his Chevrolet Tahoe to block Ramos from backing up and trying to pin him again.

However, Ramos' car overpowered the neighbors and he was able to pull away to take another shot at Macias. Ramos was able to pin Macias again, this time against a cinder block/cyclone-type fence.

After some maneuvering, Ramos was able to get his Cadillac dislodged from the fence and was able to see Macias' body lying on the ground.

With one of his tires, Ramos took the Cadillac and ran over his fellow gang member one last time, killing him, the document read.

Ramos was given a $2 million bond during his arraignment Friday. If convicted, he faces up to life in prison.
