Driver, 19, killed in Edinburg rollover

EDINBURG, Texas (ValleyCentral) - A teenager was killed early Saturday morning when the SUV she was driving rolled over several times in Edinburg.

Police say 19-year-old Diedra Lynch Arroyo was ejected from the white 2009 GMC Yukon that crashed near the intersection of Owassa Road and the southbound I-69 frontage road.

Arroyo was taken to a local hospital where she later died.

The passenger in the SUV, 19-year-old Tatiana Giselle Garcia was also thrown from the vehicle, but suffered only minor injuries, according to a release from the city.

The cause of the fatal crash remains under investigation.
