Driscoll Health hosts 'Fresh Connection' to promote healthy living

HARLINGEN, Texas (ValleyCentral) — Driscoll Health is hosting a community event called "Driscoll Fresh Connection" at the McAllen Nature Center on Saturday, April 12.

The event is from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and aims to teach families how to cook and eat healthier through cooking demonstrations, including a sugar-free chamoy recipe and lettuce wraps.

It will also feature gardening and composting demonstrations and provide free produce to the first families.

The event is inclusive, offering ADA parking and sensory items for children.

The goal is to inspire community members to adopt healthier lifestyles and create lasting memories.
