MCALLEN, Texas (ValleyCental) — Driscoll is inviting community leaders to celebrate the opening of a new training center in McAllen.
According to Driscoll Children's Hospital, the $2.7 million training center's goal is to simulate the day-to-day reality of working in a hospital or clinic, including practicing for routine and emergency scenarios.
This will be Driscoll’s second training center and the first pediatric training center in the Rio Grande Valley region, said Driscoll's news release
The training center will also help staff the upcoming Driscoll Children's Hospital Rio Grande Valley, the area's first designated freestanding children’s hospital.
The ribbon cutting will take place on Feb. 13 from 10:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. at 601 E. Nolana Ave., suites B and C in McAllen.
