DPS: Smuggler leads troopers on high-speed chase

WEBB COUNTY, Texas (ValleyCentral) — A Laredo man was arrested after he led Texas Department of Public Safety troopers on a high speed pursuit.

On Feb. 19, the driver, identified as Adrian Alejandro, was evading troopers where he veered off-road and crashed. After the accident troopers discovered eight unauthorized migrants concealed inside the vehicle.

Alejandro was arrested and charged with evading arrest and smuggling.

The eight unauthorized migrants were referred to the U.S. Border Patrol.
