EDINBURG, Texas (ValleyCentral) — The Texas Department of Public Safety is investigating a school bus crash involving students from Economedes High School in Edinburg.
The bus crash occurred Friday morning at the intersection of Ramseyer Road and Terry Road.
A news release from the Edinburg Consolidated Independent School District says that 31 students were on the bus at the time of the crash.
No major injuries were reported, the district said.
All 31 students were evaluated at the scene before being taken to Economedes High School.
Emergency Medical Services transported one student for additional evaluation as a precaution.
School nurses further assessed the students involved once they were transported to school grounds.
"The safety and well-being of our students is our top priority," Edinburg CISD stated in a press release. "We are grateful to first responders and district staff for their quick and professional response."
