DPS: Driver evading Border Patrol crashes in Brownsville

BROWNSVILLE, Texas (ValleyCentral) — One person is in custody following a car chase that led to a crash in Brownsville, officials say.

According to a Texas Department of Public Safety spokesperson, a driver was evading Border Patrol, causing a car chase.

The chase ended in a car crash near Alton Gloor, the spokesperson stated. DPS was called to investigate the crash.

The driver, who has not been identified, was taken into Border Patrol custody.
