LA FERIA, Texas (ValleyCentral) — A La Feria resident has died following an early morning single-vehicle crash, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety.
Miranda Mireles, 30, died of her injuries after a preliminary investigation revealed she failed to stop at a stop sign.
The crash happened shortly after 4 a.m.
According to DPS, Mireles was traveling southbound on FM 2566 and Business 83 when she failed to stop at a stop sign, causing her vehicle to travel airborne and strike a metal sign, according to DPS.
Mireles was transported to Valley Baptist Hospital in Harlingen, where she later died of her injuries.
The crash is under investigation.
