DPS: 3 hospitalized in major crash near Starr, Hidalgo County line

STARR COUNTY, Texas (ValleyCentral) — Three people were taken to an area hospital after a major three-vehicle crash near the Starr and Hidalgo County line Friday morning, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety.

DPS says the crash happened on U.S. 83 westbound about one mile west of the Starr and Hidalgo County line.

Two drivers and one passenger were taken to an area hospital, according to DPS.

Traffic is currently backed up two miles west of Sullivan City.

DPS advises drivers to expect delays and use caution in the area.
