WESLACO, Texas (ValleyCentral) — Three Mission residents were arrested Tuesday for allegedly transporting cocaine inside a semi-trailer truck earlier this week.

Approximately 216 pounds of cocaine, valued at $2 million, were seized from the truck during a traffic stop Thursday evening in McAllen, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety.
The DPS Criminal Investigations Division and Texas Highway Patrol stopped a semi-trailer truck for a traffic violation.
During the vehicle search, a trooper and special agents discovered 90 wrapped and concealed bundles containing cocaine.

Further investigation led special agents to a residence in McAllen where three AR-15 rifles
and one AK-47 were recovered.
Three people were arrested in relation to the drug seizure.
Francisco Marquez-Carretero, Tania Rodriguez-Hernandez and Christian Martinez Caudillo were arrested and transported to Hidalgo County Jail.
All three face criminal charges for manufacturing and delivery of a controlled substance, according to DPS.
