DONNA, Texas (ValleyCentral) — An anonymous social media account claiming to be a Donna Independent School District student alleges that there are instances of bullying taking place at Donna North High School.

The contents of the post from the alleged anonymous student are below:

"Kids are pleading for help
I created a fake fb page to ask for help.
I'm a student at Donna North High School there is a lot of bullying there.
Kids bully each other n there are a lot of fights.
Teachers and principals don't do anything.
Kids can't even go to the restroom because there are always kids in the halls walking around and skipping class and the skippers bully kids for going to class.
Drugs are also a problem at school. We get bullied for not trying drugs with other kids.
Please help because principles at my school don't do anything to help. Thank you."

ValleyCentral reached out to the district to see if there was any validity to these claims and if the district was aware of the account.

Donna ISD stated that it is aware of the social media post regarding student safety concerns at Donna North High School and that it takes all reports seriously.

"We take all reports seriously and are actively looking into these claims. At this time, we have no verification that the post in question was made by a current student," a statement from the district read.

Additionally, the district stated that videos circulating online that depict fights on campus are from past years and do not reflect the current environment at Donna ISD.

"The safety and well-being of our students and staff remains our highest priority," the district statement went on to read. "Campus administration, along with Donna ISD Police and security officers, continuously monitor our schools to ensure a safe and secure learning environment. We encourage students, staff, and parents to report any concerns directly to campus officials or through established reporting channels. As always, we remain committed to fostering a safe and supportive educational experience for our students and staff."
