Dog attack in Alton leaves 1 hospitalized, police say

ALTON, Texas (ValleyCentral) — One person is in the hospital following a dog attack Tuesday afternoon.

The dog attack happened at 4:15 p.m., near Los Ebanos Road and 4 Mile Line in Alton.

Chief Mark Perez with the Alton Police Department says authorities had to use a tourniquet on the unnamed victim to stop the bleeding.

The case is being handled and investigated by the Hidalgo County Sheriff's Office.
