DHR extends Mammos for Moms special until June

BROWNSVILLE, Texas (ValleyCentral) — DHR Health is extending its "Mammos for Moms" initiative until the end of June.

"Mammos for Moms" is a mammogram screening that costs $99 and includes the digital 3D tomography imaging and radiologist's interpretations.

DHR is extending the initiative as part of its ongoing commitment to women's health.

The special will be available at all DHR Health imaging locations in Edinburg, McAllen, Weslaco and Brownsville.

A referral from a physician is required for the mammograms.

Women with an average risk of breast cancer are recommended to begin screening at age 40.
