MCALLEN, Texas – McAllen Economic Development Corporation has announced the time and date of longtime president and CEO Keith A. Patridge’s retirement party.

The event takes place at MEDC’s offices in south McAllen on Thursday, June 20, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

Founded in 1988, McAllen EDC was formed by the City of McAllen to generate job growth by attracting new industry and helping existing companies to expand. Patridge joined the nonprofit a few years later. He also leads the McAllen Foreign Trade Zone.

MEDC’s first leader was the late Mike Allen, whom Patridge served under and succeeded as president.

Patridge holds two Bachelor degrees from Missouri Western State College and a Doctorate of Jurisprudence from the University of Missouri-Kansas City.

During Patridge’s leadership, McAllen EDC has helped hundreds of companies relocate to the McAllen-Reynosa area, resulting in the creation of tens of thousands of new jobs.

He was close to going out with a real bang, having worked hard to bring a $2 billion silicon wafer manufacturing plant to McAllen. But the company, CubicPV, out of Bedford, Mass., chose to scrap the project at the last minute.

McAllen EDC has produced this flyer to announce details of Keith Patridge’s retirement party.
