Designated Veteran parking signs installed at Southern Careers Institute

EDINBURG, Texas (ValleyCentral) — Hidalgo County Judge Richard F. Cortez distributed several designated parking signs Thursday to honor all Veterans for their service and recognize Women's Veterans Day.

Cortez visited Southern Careers Institute to celebrate the new signs.

"Veterans are a very important part of our communities. We want to always continue to celebrate them," Cortez said.

During Armed Forces Week in May, Cortez distributed parking spaces at Texas A&M University, the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley, and South Texas College.
