Delays expected on westbound lanes of SPI causeway

SOUTH PADRE ISLAND, Texas (ValleyCentral) — Beachgoers can expect delays getting off of South Padre Island this afternoon.

Traffic on the westbound lanes to get off of the island on the Queen Isabella Causeway appear to be congested this Memorial Day.

Drivers are asked to be patient and exercise caution on the roadways. If you encounter any unsafe conditions on the road please call 911.
