Decomposed body found in La Grulla, authorities say

STARR COUNTY, Texas (ValleyCentral) — An investigation is underway after a decomposed body was found in La Grulla.

According to the Starr County Sheriff's Office, the body was found by U.S. Border Patrol agents in the area of Private Lazaro Solis Street.

The male body was found in an "advanced state of decomposition," the sheriff's office stated.

The identity of the man is being withheld pending notification of next of kin. Authorities added that foul play is not suspected at this time.

The case remains under investigation.
