HARLINGEN, Texas – Lizzy de la Garza Putegnat is a community leader from Harlingen who wears a number of hats.
She is a board member of the Texas Lyceum, a non-profit, non-partisan group that focuses on cultivating the next generation of Texas leaders and developing solutions to the state’s challenges.
The group is about to host a conference in Mexico City and de la Garza Putegnat will be attending. As a preview she recently interviewed former Mexico President Vicente Fox, who will be speaking at the conference. Click here to watch the interview.

And, de la Garza Putegnat is also a board regent for Texas State Technical College. The great thing about TSTC, de la Garza Putegnat said, is that the college only gets paid if its students secure meaningful employment upon finishing their studies.
