MISSION, Texas (ValleyCentral) — A criminal complaint obtained by ValleyCentral details a Mission home heist.
Jonathan Alexander Rodriguez Goana, 37, Carlos Gavia Anguiano, 33, and Alexander Escayola Molina, 41, were charged with two counts of burglary of habitation with intent to commit a felony and one count of engaging in organized criminal activity.

May 30, 2025
Officers responded to the burglary on May 30 at the 2400 block of East 6th Street.
According to the criminal complaint, a 14-year-old boy reported that someone had broken into his mother's home, tied her up, and demanded money. The teenage boy was inside the home when he heard his mother screaming downstairs.
In the complaint, the teen said he went downstairs to check what was happening when he saw two men inside the home. He told police he initially thought the men were workers, but he quickly realized "something was wrong when they kept yelling."
The teen said he punched one of the men in the face but was overpowered by both of them. The men allegedly held him down, tied his hands and legs with tape and rope.
Authorities say that while the suspects took the mom upstairs, the teen managed to break free and run for help.
At the scene, responding officers found a 52-year-old woman near the front door with visible and severe injuries to her face. Authorities also found clear plastic bondage materials around her neck.

The woman was transported to the McAllen Medical Hospital, where the investigator noted her right eye was completely swollen shut. The complaint details she had blood and redness surrounding her face, indicating she had been hit multiple times.
After receiving medical treatment at the hospital, investigators were informed that the woman had a fractured bone near her right eye.
At the hospital, the woman confirmed she was held down, choked, tied up, and robbed of thousands of dollars.
During the investigation, authorities found surveillance footage that showed the suspect vehicle parked near the 500 block of N. Shary Rd.
May 31, 2025
On May 31, investigators received video footage from a business where the suspected vehicle, identified as a Hyundai Elantra with Mexican plates, arrived and parked at the location.
The video showed an occupant wearing a maroon and black shirt, jeans, black Nike shoes with red and white accents and what appeared to be blue latex gloves.
Seconds later, a second occupant exited the vehicle wearing a gray sweater, blue jeans, a multicolored mesh baseball cap and white tennis shoes, the document detailed.
According to the criminal complaint, the multicolored mesh baseball cap worn by the second occupant was found inside the victim's home behind the front door where the woman was attacked.
Moments later, video footage shows the suspects running back to the vehicle with the first occupant appearing to have a torn shirt, described as "as if it had been pulled or ripped."
Authorities also detail that in the video, the first occupant also displayed a tattoo on his left chest.
Both men entered the vehicle, with the second occupant carrying a white bag.
The woman recognized the suspects in the video and the men who broke into her home, tied her and her son up, and assaulted them.
During the investigation, Mission police contacted a concerned party who called the Pharr Police Department on May 5, regarding a Hyundai Elantra parked in her designated parking spot.
When Mission police spoke with the caller, she showed them a photo of the vehicle she took herself, which matched the description of the suspected vehicle; however, it displayed Texas license plates.
She told Mission PD investigators, she contacted the Pharr Police Department again on May 12, because the vehicle remained in the same location, but now displaying Mexican license plates. She provided a photo of the car with the new plates to the investigators.
She also reported that there was a gold or brown Dodge van that had picked up two men who exited the Hyundai once the vehicle had Mexican plates.
She added, she found the behaviour "suspicious, especially noting the presence of blue latex gloves, black gloves, a black backpack," and the vehicle locked with the keys inside.
With the information provided, authorities were able to determine that the last known residence for the Texas license plate was in the 1100 block of Valle Vista in Pharr.
Jan 1, 2025
On Jan 1, Mission PD conducted surveillance a the suspected residence at the 1100 block of Valley Vista, where they found a gold/brown Dodge van parked outside the home.
Investigators later spoke with the owners of the home, where they were granted consent to search both the property and the vehicles, which included a Honda SUV and the gold/brown Dodge van.
During the search, authorities found a pair of black Nike shoes with red and white accents and a pair of white tennis shoes on the dining room floor. According to the complaint, the shoes matched those that were worn by the suspects during the home invasion and were seen on the surveillance footage.
Additionally, investigators found a Hyundai key on a key rack inside the home. When police questioned the owners, the owner stated he sold the vehicle to a man named Carlos.
Inside the Dodge van, authorities found a Mexican ID that belonged to a man named Carlos Gavia Anguiano, who the homeowner later confirmed was the one he sold the Hyundai Elantra to.
Mission PD conducted further investigation, where licence plate readers determined the Hyundai Elantra was spotted in the area of Cage Boulevard and Nolana Avenue, at approximately 10:40 p.m., just 13 minutes after the victims called Mission PD.
Authorities say, the Dodge van was also seen in the same area at 10:58 p.m., 11:14 p.m. and 11:33 p.m. on the same day,
The homeowner identified the suspects as Carlos Gavia Anguiano and Alexander Escayola Molina. He often saw Anguiano wearing the same baseball cap that was found inside the victim's home at the time of the invasion.
The homeowner also claimed to be acquainted with the suspects and often drank beer with them at his house.
June 2, 2025
On June 2, Mission PD received a location hit from the License plate reader for the Texas license plate on 1402 E. Minnesota Road in McAllen. The license plate matched the previous plate that the suspected vehicle displayed before the burglary.
Investigators also spoke with the homeowner, presenting evidence that the van was reportedly driven after he claimed no one had left.
The homeowner could not provide an explanation, but later admitted he had driven the van to a convenience store. After investigators showed further evidence, the homeowner stated, he had also left for an ATM and then to Owassa Road, which is the suspect's last known address.
June 3, 2025
On June 3, 2025, authorities conducted surveillance on the 1400 block, where they found the suspected vehicle parked.
Authorities spoke with employees at the business and asked about the vehicle. Authorities were informed that the vehicle had been left at the business on May 30, at approximately 10 to 11 p.m.
A witness reported seeing a gold, brown Dodge parked directly in front of the business and a man asked for someone named "Alex," the release added.
The witnesses added, "Alex" arrived moments later with another man and both left in the gold, brown van; however, regarding the vehicle, "Alex" claimed he would leave the vehicle at the location and would return later.
When shown photos of the suspect, the witness identified the driver of the van as the homeowner, Jonathan Alexander Rodriguez Goana, and "Alex" as Molina.
Authorities say, they had been in contact with Rodriguez Goana multiple times and claimed he had no knowledge of why the items were found in his home. Additionally, Rodriguez Goana claimed to investigators that the suspected vehicle's last known location was on Owassa Road in Edinburg, where he stated the suspects lived.
Authorities told ValleyCentral, Rodriguez Goana was a former employee of the victim, however, they did not release any further details of their work or Molina’s employment.
Rodriguez Goana was arrested and charged with two counts of burglary of a habitat and one count of engaging in criminal activity.
He was given a total bond of $1,350,000.

June 6, 2025
On June 6, authorities received a tip that both suspects were at a mobile home park in Pharr, located at the 900 block of East Sioux Road. At approximately 12:41 p.m., both suspects were located and arrested with the assistance of state, federal and local law enforcement.
Police say the men, later identified as Anguiano and Molina, are undocumented.
June 7, 2025
On June 7, Carlos Gavia Anguiano, 33, and Alexander Escayola Molina, 41, were charged with two counts of burglary of habitation with intent to commit a felony and one count of engaging in organized criminal activity during a scheduled arraignment at the Mission Police Station.
During the arraignment, both Anguiano and Molina confirmed with the judge that they are both undocumented men and are Mexican citizens.
Angiano and Molina were each issued a total bond of $1,500,000 and were booked into the Hidalgo County Jail.
