EDINBURG, Texas (ValleyCentral) — Construction on a new parking garage in downtown Edinburg is slated to begin this week, according to the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation.
The parking garage is the latest development in the downtown Edinburg area, following the grand opening of the new Hidalgo County Courthouse and the grand re-opening of Citrus Live.
The $6.2 million project is anticipated to be three stories tall with 260 standard and 7 accessible parking spaces.
Project details from the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation state that construction on the parking garage is expected to begin on Wednesday, with a completion date of Oct. 15, 2026.
The parking garage will be located on 201 N. Closer Blvd.
