COMBES, Texas (ValleyCentral) — The city of Combes is finalizing the process to rescind a months-long boil water notice after restoring water quality and ensuring compliance with state standards, Mayor Silvestre Garcia said Tuesday.

Garcia said residents of Combes can expect an official rescind notice soon, as the water system has returned to normal operations. The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) confirmed the water quality meets all necessary compliance requirements.

The boil water notice has been in effect due to concerns over water quality, but recent tests have shown that the water is now safe for consumption. The city has expressed gratitude for residents' patience during this period. While the exact timing of the official rescind notice remains uncertain, the city assures that it will be provided shortly.

With the water system back to normal, Combes residents can soon resume regular water usage without the need for boiling.
