Cold front approaching the Valley followed by another heat trend

HARLINGEN, Texas (ValleyCentral) — So long to the heat and humidity, for a couple of days at least. As the approaching front makes its way through the valley early Sunday, you can expect increased cloud coverage, cooler temperatures, and breezy winds for the second half of the weekend.

These conditions are going to stick around as we head into the new week for the first couple of days. Monday will be the coolest with temperatures well below average. Highs will be in the 60s, and lows in the 40s.

Enjoy the sweater weather while you can. Soon after a high-pressure system will make its way into the region bringing clear skies and sunshine. Temperatures will gradually warm up to above average once again.
