EDINBURG, Texas (ValleyCentral) — The Vaqueros football team returned to victory on Saturday in their sixth game of the inaugural season.
The Vaqueros faced off against Houston Christian University, coming out victorious with a 27-7 win.
The team bounced back on its home turf after falling short in its game against Southeastern University in Louisiana nearly two weeks ago.
So far, the Vaqueros have pulled a 5-1 football win streak this season.
The game against Houston Christian University marked the halfway point of the season, with six games left.
The next game is scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 18, against the Lamar Cardinals at Provost Umphrey Stadium in Beaumont.
Kickoff is set for 3 p.m.
