Closures, delays possible amid TxDOT’s pavement work on interstate between Palmview, Mission

The Texas Department of Transportation announced pavement repair work will take place this week and are advising commuters to take into account delays.

The weeklong work is planned for the main lanes on the eastbound Interstate 2, or U.S. 83, between FM 492 in Palmview and Conway Avenue in Mission. 

TxDOT said drivers should expect lane closures and possible delays while paving crews are present, with the release also noting the eastbound I-2 Frontage Road on and off ramps within the project limits will also be impacted with temporary closures. 

The work is scheduled to occur Monday through Friday between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m.
