PHARR, Texas (ValleyCentral) — The City of Pharr presented a $1 million donation to launch a first-of-its-kind adult high school.

The PossAble Dream Adult High School is a tuition-free public school for adults up to the age of 50 in South Texas.

Dream Adult will offer students the opportunity to earn a traditional high school diploma, along with industry based certifications, employability training and college courses.

The school will also provide vital support services, including transportation, child care, job placement assistance and mental health counseling.

"This is just an awesome way to give back, not only to our residents, but our entire region," said Pharr City Manager Jonathan Flores. "I cannot think of a better endeavor than to give our community a second chance at life and a second chance at their education."

PossAble Dream Adult High School is set to open in Fall 2025 and will be located at the former Pharr Events Center.
