HARLINGEN, Texas (ValleyCentral) — The City of Harlingen is hosting its Fiesta de Piñatas on Saturday to celebrate the community with food, fun and music.
The event is expected to take place Saturday, 6 p.m. to 10 p.m., at Gutierrez Park, located in downtown Harlingen.
There will also be an opportunity to shop local with vendors, and kids will have access to plenty of fun activities, such as games and crafts.
"We just hope to see the community come out and enjoy everything that's great about Harlingen, the vendors, the live music, the Mercado, the kids zone, everything." Promotion and Events Manager, Angie Anderson, said. "We have our local vendors, and it's free for everybody to come and experience."
Street closures will begin from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. on West Van Buren and many of the side streets.
Free parking will be available in downtown Harlingen.
