City of Edinburg celebrates annual Juneteenth festival

HARLINGEN, Texas (ValleyCentral) — The City of Edinburg and the Edinburg Juneteenth Jubilee Committee invite the public to the 2024 Edinburg Juneteenth Festival.

Now in its 31st year, it is a commemorative ceremony that showcases the rich Black heritage of the Rio Grande Valley.

Mark your calendars for the commemorative ceremony on Saturday, June 15 from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Edinburg Municipal Auditorium at 200 N. 7th Ave.

The Juneteenth Festival is set for 7 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. at the Edinburg Food Truck Park at 201 N. 7th Ave.

There will be food, live music, and family fun.
