City of Brownsville internship, volunteer applications now open

BROWNSVILLE, Texas (ValleyCentral) — The City of Brownsville is now accepting applications for summer internships and volunteer opportunities.

Opportunities are available in the following city departments:

• Animal Regulation and Care Center
• Public Library
• Communications and Marketing
• Engineering and Public Works
• Emergency Management
• Parks and Recreation
• Health, Wellness, and Animal Services

Applicants must be at least 16 years old, live in Texas within 90 days, and provide a valid photo ID.

Internships and commitments range from one to six months.

Applications can be submitted on the City of Brownsville website.
