City of Brownsville, BARCC to host free pet food distribution

BROWNSVILLE, Texas (ValleyCentral) — Brownsville Animal Regulation and Care Center, alongside the City of Brownsville and Department of Health, Wellness and Animal Services, is hosting a free pet food distribution for pet owners.

The distribution will offer bags of free dog and cat food to help families provide for their pets.

Each car will receive two bags of pet food, while supplies last.

Guests are advised to remain in their vehicles while a team member loads the food for them.

Pets are not required to be in attendance to receive the free pet food.

The event is open to the public and is not limited to Brownsville residents.

The distribution will begin at 7 a.m. and continue through noon on Saturday, Sept. 27, at the Brownsville Events Center, located at 1 Event Center Blvd.
