BROWNSVILLE, Texas (ValleyCentral) — The City of Brownsville has partnered up with McAllen and Edinburg to host a four-day workshop for procurement readiness.
The training is expected to begin in Fall 2025 and is a learning opportunity for purchasing agents, contract administrators, buyers, department managers, and support staff.
Damian Espinoza, Procurement Director at the City of Brownsville, says it is important for professionals at this level to prepare for making decisions, planning, and executing. It is also needed to stay compliant with local, state, and federal guidelines to stay up to date with changes.
A $100 deposit and an email to info@palmerboeck.com are required to register, according to the City of Brownsville's website.
"I believe that everybody in the RGV should have had access to this. Historically, we have always had to spend resources to travel up north and get that type of training. So now that we have this accessible to us, it's a good opportunity for everyone to take advantage of it," Espinoza said.
