Child found walking alone in Mission, reunited with mother

MISSION, Texas (ValleyCentral) — A child was found walking alone late Saturday night has been reunited with their mother.

The Hidalgo County Sheriff's Office said that at 10 p.m. on Saturday, deputies responded to a call of child walking alone in the area of FM 107 and Trosper Road in rural Mission.

Authorities say the child was safely reunited with their mother.

No other details about the child’s gender or age were released or how it happened that the child was alone on the road.

The case has been referred to Child Protective Services. This is an ongoing investigation.
