CCSO: Woman arrested after threatening family with kitchen knife during argument

LOS FRESNOS, Texas (ValleyCentral) — A woman is accused of threatening family members with a kitchen knife after accusing them of stealing her Social Security card.

Shantell Sade Fiveash, 24, is charged with two counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, according to a news release from the Cameron County Sheriff's Office.

At 10:43 a.m. on Wednesday, deputies responded to an aggravated assault at a home located at the 36000 block of FM 2480, also known as Old Port Road on the outskirts of Los Fresnos.

Deputies say they spoke with three women involved in the assault, including the suspect, later identified as Fiveash.

The two women reportedly told deputies Fiveash accused them of stealing her Social Security card and her necklace.

According to the women, during the argument, Fiveash became irate, grabbed a bottle of "Sweet Baby Ray's" BBQ Sauce and threw it at the two women, hitting one of them on the chest.

They say Fiveash then grabbed a metal dish from an air fryer and threw it at them, hitting one of them on the wrist.

According to the release, Fiveash then she reached into a kitchen drawer and pulled out a green kitchen knife holding it towards the women and moving in their direction in a threatening manner.

"One of the female victims grabbed Shatell Sade's wrist and they both struggled with her depriving her of the knife," deputies reported.

They say Fiveash's boyfriend pulled her away from the women and into another room.

She is being held at the Carrizalez Rucker Detention Center.
