CCSO: Man steals two baby goats, later sells them

LOS FRESNOS, Texas (ValleyCentral) — Cameron County deputies arrested a man, who they say, stole two baby goats and other belongings.

Francisco Hernandez Gonzalez, 29, was charged with theft, according to a release from the Cameron County Sheriff's Office.

On Saturday, deputies responded to a theft at a residence at the 40300 block of Bill Davis. At the scene, a 43-year-old man reported to authorities that his 2015 Polaris Ranger and two baby goats were taken from his property.

Additionally, the victim's friend located his belongings at the 100 block of Adams in Laguna Heights, the release stated.

When deputies arrived at the location, the owner of the residence informed them that the items were sold to them by a man, later identified as Gonzalez.

Moments later, deputies located Gonzalez and arrested him. He later confessed to investigators to taking the Polaris and baby goats and later selling them, the release stated.

Gonzalez is booked in Carrizalez Rucker Detention Center, where he is pending an arraignment.
