HIDALGO, Texas (ValleyCentral) — The United States Customs and Border Protection officers seized more than $1 million worth of cocaine over the weekend.
CBP officers at the Hidalgo International Bridge referred a 2020 Renault Oroch to a secondary inspection on July 26.
During the inspection, a canine alerted officers, which led to a non-intrusive imaging scan that revealed possible hidden objects within the vehicle.

During the physical inspection of the vehicle, officers found 30 packages containing approximately 76.94 pounds of cocaine hidden in the vehicle.
Authorities say the cocaine had an estimated street value of $1,027,316.
CBP seized the vehicle and narcotics. Homeland Security Investigations special agents initiated a criminal investigation.
