PHARR, Texas (ValleyCentral) — Over $900,000 worth of cocaine was seized Friday at the Pharr International Bridge, United States Customs and Border Protection announced.
On Friday, CBP officers were met by a tractor-trailer, that was coming from Mexico to the Pharr International Bridge, for further inspection.
During the inspection, officials took out 50 packages, weighing 122 pounds. The packages of alleged cocaine were hidden within a shipment of concrete blocks, according to a release from CBP.
CBP Office of Field Operation Officers seized the narcotics and trailer. Homeland Security initiated a criminal investigation.
