HIDALGO, Texas (ValleyCentral) — U.S. Customs and Border Protection arrested a man wanted for aggravated sexual assault of a child.
On April 14, authorities stationed at the Hidalgo International Bridge referred 55-year-old Roger Lee Chapa to a secondary inspection.
During the inspection, the database showed that Chapa had an outstanding felony warrant for sexual assault of a child from the Hidalgo County Sheriff's Office in Edinburg.
Chapa was arrested and turned over to the Hidalgo County Sheriff's Office, where he is awaiting criminal proceedings.
