Cavender’s two-steppin’ to Harlingen this summer

Yippee ki-yay.

Cavender’s is on its way to Harlingen this summer, opening what will be its third location in the Rio Grande Valley.

The popular western wear store has 63 locations in Texas, with one located at 3300 Expressway 83 Suite #900 in McAllen and the other at 4455 N. Expressway 77/83 in Brownsville.

The new store in Harlingen is set to begin renovations of the current property, which is about 11,250 square feet, at 914 Dixieland Road in May.

Completion is expected July 31.

The renovations will cost around $550,000 and will consist of new floor and wall finishes, exterior signage and decor as well as fixtures, demolition work to remove existing partitions and add new walls, according to the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation.
