HARLINGEN, Texas (ValleyCentral) — The case against a tractor trailer driver involved in a deadly crash in Harlingen has been dismissed.
Juan Jose Bazaldua Sanchez was facing two counts of manslaughter and three counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon in connection to a crash that killed 28-year-old Angela Galicia and 65-year-old Jesus Trevino. The crash also injured three others, records show.
On June 14, prosecutors filed for dismissal, with records showing the state was "unable to prove beyond a reasonable doubt." Judge Ricardo Adobbati granted and signed the dismissal.
