Cameron County Sheriff's Office to host National Night Out

OLMITO, Texas (ValleyCentral) — The Cameron County Sheriff's Office is hosting its annual National Night Out tonight in Olmito.

The event will be held from 6 to 8:3- p.m. at 7300 Old Alice Road. Families with special needs children or children with disabilities will be welcome an hour before the event starts.

"Together, we are making our communities safer, more caring places to live and work," a release from the sheriff's office stated.

Participants will be able to receive a lineup of prizes from the county's generous sponsors.

To win the prizes, participants must enter a raffle. The Gladys Porter Zoo will also be in attendance with a tent where guests can meet some amazing animals up close.
