Cameron County inmate attempts to escape while receiving medical attention

CAMERON COUNTY, Texas (ValleyCentral) — A Carrizalez Rucker inmate attempted to escape custody while receiving medical attention, according to the Cameron County Sheriff's Office.

According to a social media post by the Cameron County Sheriff's Office, the inmate was receiving medical attention at a local hospital when she tried to escape.

Jail staff immediately restrained her without further incident. Authorities say additional charges are pending.
