A cafe known for its “exceptional brunch experience” is opening its first Rio Grande Valley location next week.
Another Broken Egg Cafe will open its McAllen location at 7913 N. 10th St. on Monday, April 21. The hours of operation are 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Sunday.
The cafe is known for its chef-driven menu, which features innovative Southern-inspired dishes in addition to signature cocktails and mocktails, according to a news release. Some of the core menu to be featured at the McAllen location include Shrimp ‘N Grits, chicken and waffles, a lobster and brie omelette, and huevo rancheros.
Entrepreneur Al Trevino will operate the restaurant alongside businessman Ramiro Garza and Rene Capistran, a military veteran with more than 25 years in construction, the release stated.
“We saw an incredible opportunity to bring a unique, chef-driven brunch experience to McAllen. From the moment guests walk through the door, we want them to feel at home – whether they’re enjoying a handcrafted cocktail or mocktail on our patio, or a Southern-inspired meal with family and friends,” Trevino said in the release. “We’re excited to create a welcoming space where the community can come together, celebrate and make lasting memories over an elevated meal.”
Three additional Another Broken Egg Cafe locations are planned for the Valley, though the release didn’t provide any information as to when or where they’d be opening.
“McAllen’s vibrant community and deep-rooted hospitality make it the perfect place for Another Broken Egg Cafe,” Jeff Sturgis, the brand’s chief development officer, said in the release. “Al, Ramiro and Rene share our passion for exceptional dining experiences, and their dedication to the region makes them ideal partners for our growth in South Texas. We’re excited to see the positive impact they’ll bring to McAllen and beyond.”
