Buckner Home distributes over 700 backpacks to children

ALAMO, Texas (ValleyCentral) — The Buckner Home hosted a back-to-school distribution on Thursday to help children in need when the school year begins.

The event at the Alamo Community Center provided over 700 backpacks loaded with school supplies to local children. Backpacks were put together according to the grade level of the students.

Families attending the event are primarily clients of local Buckner programs, including the Buckner Family Hope Center at Donna.
