As part of its annual CycloBia event scheduled for Friday, the city of Brownsville will screen a showing of the PBS documentary "From Rails to Trails".

The city of Brownsville will close off downtown streets to traffic so participants can bike, walk, skate and enjoy themed zones inspired by the decades as part of the event's theme, CycloBia: Traveling Through Time.
CycloBia Brownsville’s ‘Time Travel’ event set for Oct. 17
The event starts at 6 p.m. at Southern Pacific Linear Park located at 660 E. Ringgold St.
The route will start with a '70s vibe at Linear Park, followed by neon colors of the '80s at Washington Park, and will end with bold looks of the '90s at Market Square.
Following their ride through the city, attendees will be able to watch the PBS' From Rails to Trails, a documentary that spotlights how Brownsville repurposed its historic rail lines into accessible community trails.
The screening will take places at The Mitte at 8 p.m.
