Brownsville teen charged in drug bust

BROWNSVILLE, Texas (ValleyCentral) — A 17-year-old and a minor were arrested after narcotics were discovered inside a Brownsville residence during the execution of a search warrant, according to the Brownsville Police Department.

Juan Carlos Cordova Rodriguez, 17, and the minor are facing the following charges:

• Manufacture/Delivery of a Controlled Substance PG 1
• Possession of Marijuana
• Tampering with Evidence

On Thursday, the Brownsville Police Department's Special Investigations Narcotics Unit executed a search warrant at the 1600 block of E. 21st Street.

Authorities seized 71.7g of cocaine and 6.65 oz of marijuana.

Brownsville PD says Cordova Rodriguez is also being charged with unlawful carrying of a weapon.
