BROWNSVILLE, Texas (ValleyCentral) — The City of Brownsville invites the community to provide feedback on the preparation of the "Parks, Health and Recreation Master Plan."

The Master Plan will help shape the future of local parks, trails and recreational facilities as well as advance health and wellness programs for the next five to 10 years.

"The Parks, Health, and Recreation Master Plan is a vital investment in the future of our
community," said John Cowen, Jr. Brownsville City Mayor. "Through this plan, we want to
ensure that our facilities continue to welcome our community, cater to the growing needs
of our residents, and further enhance the overall quality of life in Brownsville."

City officials state they plan to help the community access well-maintained green spaces that help encourage physical activity, support one's mental well-being, and provide safe spaces for families to come together.

Residents are asked to complete the survey online or provide feedback during public meetings.
