A Brownsville resident had a lucky Friday.

According to the Texas Lottery, the resident won $1 million in the $20 scratch ticket game Million Dollar Loteria.

The claimant, who elected to remain anonymous, bought the ticket at the Circle K located at 1995 Military Rd.

“This was the ninth of 10 top prizes worth $1 million to be claimed in this game. Million Dollar Loteria offers more than $378.2 million in total prizes,” the release stated. “Overall odds of winning any prize in the game are one in 3.29, including break-even prizes.”

Brownsville appears to be a lucky spot as another individual won the same prize in the same game last year after purchasing a ticket at the Love’s Truck Stop located at 3400 Nafta Parkway.
