Brownsville police search for women seen stealing from Mr. Music store

BROWNSVILLE, Texas (ValleyCentral) — Brownsville police are looking to identify two women who attempted to steal a guitar from a local music store, authorities say.

The two unidentified women allegedly tried to steal from Mr. Music, a musical instrument store on the 1400 block W. Price Rd. in Brownsville.

According to police, the first woman walked in asking about a clarinet as a distraction while a second woman entered the store to steal a guitar.

The second woman grabbed a guitar from the shelf and walked out the store without paying, police say.

The first woman immediately followed behind the lady with the stolen guitar.

Police say the owner of Mr. Music confronted the women in the parking lot to retrieve the stolen item.
