Brownsville police investigate fatal morning crash

BROWNSVILLE, Texas (ValleyCentral) — Brownsville police are investigating a single-vehicle fatal crash that occurred Wednesday morning.

Police responded to the crash at 5:17 a.m. at the 1700 block of N. Minnesota Ave.

An investigation revealed that the driver, 31-year-old Beatriz Castillo, lost control and collided with a metal utility pole.

Castillo was transported to a local hospital, where she later died of her injuries.
