BROWNSVILLE, Texas (ValleyCentral) — The Brownsville Police Department is set to host its first JR BBQ Challenge.
The event is open to those between the ages of 8 and 16 who love to cook. It is the chance to show off those BBQ skills, win a cash prize, and take home a trophy.
A junior division and a senior division will be available.

Mark your calendars for Saturday, Aug. 16, at the Brownsville Event Center. Registration is at 10 a.m. and grilling begins at 11 a.m.
